Together with Merlijn Van Vliet, I developed a crazy interactive Japanese game show, extremely sponsored by Mitsubishi Motors Europe. This interactive game is the ‘viral motor’ of the On Your Mark campaign. (www.onyourmark.eu) We created this campaign to promote the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback and the new Mitsubishi Colt across Europe. The game show has a spectacular online gaming experience with two games to participate in. The Lancer Loop and the Colt Curling!

Together with Merlijn van Vliet, I did the screenplay for the short movie "Long Way Home, a movie about cocks and coke". Our movie won the first prize for best film in the '48 hour film project' competition at the filmfestival in Utrecht. The film will be screened in New York at the worldwide grand finale of the 48 hour film project.

Illustration work for a horror book, written by Pieter Paesen. It's a dark story about a lonely, schizophrenic man called Pont. His world is falling apart with murdering his best friend as the sad highlight of the story. The visuals are all handmade with acrylic paint on self-prepared paper, edited in Photoshop.

Vodafone moved to Amsterdam and was on the lookout for lot's of new colleagues. So what do you usually do when you're new somewhere? Right, you introduce yourself. That's exactly what Vodafone did with this campaign by saying hello to potential new colleagues and everything that's typically Amsterdam. The very broad crossmedial approach guaranteed that everyone in Amsterdam was greeted at least once a day by Vodafone. It didn't matter if you were stuck in a traffic jam or drinking a beer in a bar, you couldn't miss the fact that Vodafone landed in Amsterdam.

A recruitment campaign for SRA, a Dutch organisation that covers about 370 accountant offices in Holland.

Target: Lure away accountants and tax experts from the larger offices by promising more variation, more responsibilities and a better balance between work and personal life. (Cool detail: We produced a life size plexiglass arrow for this photoshoot). The emergency glass hammer was a premium for those who requested an information pack, in order to break out of their current situation. -

A large intern crossmediale campaign for the introduction of the new vision and identity of UPC, rolled out in 11 European countries. (e.g. The Netherlands, Romania, Ireland, Poland,...) The new vision and brand identity was introduced to all employees at UPC, taking them on a journey via a campaign site. The entire campaign contained a kick-off animation, several stop motion videos made in Tampere Finland, documentaries of succesfull initiatives, an interactive video quiz, a upc song, posters, post-its, an internal training toolkit and many more.

XS4ALLEIGEN MENING EERST
This initiative, Box it up!, lets young people determine the social agenda themselves, bottom-up, by broaching the one subject that they think is important. We ask them to examine the subject (e.g. justice), their opinion on it (e.g. injustice to asylum seekers) and the form (e.g. audio protest song). By allowing them to choose who the message is aimed at the message acquires an extra direction, force and possibilities for constructive debate. To define and send the individual opinion, XS4ALL supplies a box that is linked to the opinions of others in an online universe. In this way, we give the young people a platform with an audience so that their opinion is also heard. As traffic drivers, we developed crossmediale campaign materials in the form of flash banners, video banners, an MSN tab, a GeenStijl Special, posters (schools and flyposting) and flyers.

This children book I made was selected for the 'Prijs van de stad Hasselt', an international contest for children book illustrators, organised by Clavis. (Belgian children book publisher)
I used acrylic paint on cardboard. The story is about a little girl who creates her own exciting, imaginary world, using bra's from adult women, while waiting for her own breasts to grow. -

I did some random artwork for a wildlife rescue center, a hospital for sick and wounded wild animals. This is a non-profit organisation, so usually there was no budget. Therefore I mostly created my design materials myself. For this cover of a yearbook, I got my camera and took some pictures of the stuffed animals we sell in the center. This way I could visualise our patients without using the same old pictures the center uses for ages.

Illustration for a book about a fetus called Fritz coming alive at night. It's made with acrylic paint on cardboard and a gentle touch of Photoshop for the bulldozers' headlight. (For sure I don't like lensflare as a tool, this might be even the only time I ever used it in an illustration, but here it worked out pretty well.)
